After several pop-projects Ester Ideskog, Stockholm, Sweden, has emerged producing sparkling electro-pop with Vanbot and her alter ego, Vanessa. Vanessa is the tougher, fearless Stockholm City girl who is driven by determined purposefulness and true DIY spirit. Inspiring songs are born during bike rides through the City night. Shaped by nerve and formed with beats they come to life in the little studio with the oversized worldmap where dreams can fly.

Last years writing has resulted in the Electro-pop debut album VANBOT released mid April.

2. Daniel H. Wilson "Robopocalypse" (2011)

Фантастический триллер американского писателя Дэниела Уилсона рассказывающий о судьбе человечества после восстания роботов против своих создателей. Дэниел Уилсон – автор той же породы, что и сочинитель "Мировой войны Z" Макс Брукс: 6 лет назад он выпустил учебник "How to Survive a Robot Uprising" (Как пережить восстание роботов, 2005) (Брукс начал с "Как пережить зомби-апокалипсис"), тоже опционированный для экранизации. Кроме клише фильмов о киборгах, он прошелся по пророческой фантастике "Where's My Jetpack?: A Guide to the Amazing Science Fiction Future That Never Arrived" (Где мой аэроранец?: Путеводитель по фантастическому будущему, которое так и не наступило», 2007), дал на чай клишированным психопатам "The Mad Scientist Hall of Fame" (Зал славы сумасшедших ученых, 2008) и рассмотрел роботов под другим углом "How to Build a Robot Army: Tips on Defending Planet Earth Against Alien Invaders, Ninjas, and Zombies" (Как построить армию роботов: уроки по защите Земли от пришельцев, ниндзя и зомби, 2007).

Sound of... - is an annual poll of music critics and industry figures to find the most promising new music talent. It was first conducted by the BBC News website in 2003. A top 10 list is published each January.

Это ежегодный список самых многообещающих музыкантов по мнению экспертов компании BBC. Публикуется ежегодно, начиная с 2003 года. Раньше я ничего не знал об этом списке, нашел информацию случайно. Но список - отменный. Музыкальные сливки последней 10-летки. Берем любого исполнителя, скачиваем альбомы в интернете и заслушиваем, если, конечно, уже не сделали этого ранее. Мало ли, кто кого из артистов упустил в свое время.

Clare Rita Mary Maguire (born 15 September 1987 in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom) is an English singer, songwriter signed to Polydor Records. Maguire comes from a large musical Irish family and started singing and writing music from the age of 7. Her voice has been compared to Annie Lennox and Stevie Nicks.

Clare Maguire signed a recording contract with Polydor Records in 2008 and since then has been working on her debut album "Light After Dark" with producer Fraser T. Smith, who has previously worked with Kylie Minogue and Adele.

"Light After Dark" comes out 28th February 2011. First single from the album is called
"Ain't Nobody", second single is "The Last Dance".

The Jezabels are a four-piece musical group from Sydney, Australia. They formed after meeting at the University of Sydney at 2007. Their music is hard to define into one specific genre, and has been described as a blend of indie pop, indie rock, rock, and disco pop. The Jezabels themselves, somewhat jocularly, describe their genre to be "intensindie".
